Organised by one of our employees and supported by xyztec, the Dutch and the UK RETT syndrome associations, no less than 10 xyztec employees today completed the UK to Netherlands Cycle for RETT. This sponsored cycle aimed to raise public awareness and funds for both associations.

A total of 20 cyclists the route from England’s Luton on Saturday morning to Harwich in one day, crossing the ferry, and then cycling to Utrecht in The Netherlands.
Others completed only one leg of the journey. Together, we raised over € 30,000. The money will be split between the two associations: RETT UK and Nederlandse Rett Syndroom Vereniging. Rett syndrome is a rare neurological disorder affecting mainly females and very few males. Although present at birth, it is usually undetected until major regression occurs at around one year of age, when children will lose acquired skills – this can be accompanied by distress and anxiety.
